A-MIC01 Microwave/Antenna -Fabrication Lab

The Microwave/Antenna Fabrication Lab is a specialized facility dedicated to the design, development, and testing of microwave circuits and antenna systems. It plays a crucial role in modern wireless communication, radar, satellite, and sensing technologies. The lab focuses on translating theoretical concepts of high-frequency electromagnetic wave propagation into practical implementations through hands-on fabrication and testing.

Key activities in the lab include substrate material selection, PCB layout design using tools like HFSS or CST, photolithography, chemical etching, and antenna assembly. Students and researchers also perform measurements using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and anechoic chambers to evaluate parameters such as return loss, radiation pattern, gain, and bandwidth.

This lab bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world engineering by enabling practical experience in RF and microwave engineering, fostering innovation in the design of compact, efficient, and high-performance antenna systems.
